Why do people say the cold weather doesn't make us sick?!

Question: Why do people say the cold weather doesn't make us sick!?
!.!.!.Well, why is that when I came back (it was very cold), I got a sore throat!? It's spring in here, though!.

The weather in here is very weird!. It's hot today, and cold the next day!. I thought it was hot the other day when I went out, but it turned out so cold!. And when I came back, I had a sore throat!.

People say, the reason why we get sick in winter is because we stay indoors!. Our winters are mild (not that cold), so getting outside is very easy!. And we do get out a lot, but we still catch a cold!. Why is that!? Can the cold air really make us sick!?

Cold weathers and sickness

Of course, it's the germs that make you sick!. However, the temperature fluctuations weakens your body defenses against the bugs!. !.Because the sudden changes prevents your body from acclimating well to outside conditions, which in turn make the immune system work harder at defending the body from bugs

Bacteria and/or viruses cause you to get sick!. If you are indoors with poor ventilation you may feel sick, or if your extremities have gotten very cold you may get frostbite!.

Yes, the lowering of a person's body temperature also lowers the immune system which makes a person more vulnerable to catching illnesses!. This is has been a known fact through out history!. Anytime a person's body is under great stress such as being too cold will have an undesirable effect on the immune system!.

How cold are we talking here!? Lowering of body temperature is more severe than being outside for 15 minutes without wearing a coat!. That's why we shake when we are cold!.!.!.our body temperature isn't going to lower significantly in a short period of time!.
Also: Being in the cold doesn't mean your body temperature is lowered!. If you are so cold that your body temperature is lowered, you have worse things to worry about than getting a cold

And don't forget about those seasonal allergies!. There are more sick people with the flu during the long cold winter months!.

in the cold bacteria and viruses are less active, meaning they have less of a chance to be passed on!. people go out less when its cold so less people spreading the colds and those with it prefer to stay at home, whereas those who are ill when its warm still go out and go to work generally!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it is because cold weather or cold temp makes germs go away!. Say if u left a window open you would be taking germs in the room awayWww@Answer-Health@Com

Cold air doesnt make you sick!. Winter does tend to affect us and our behaviors, which does make it easier to catch a cold!.

1-We do stay indoors more!. Even if you have a pretty mild winter, unless you are in the tropics you probably stay indoors more and spend more time in close range of other people!.

2- Winter stresses your body!. Cold weather makes your body work harder to function, so your body has to use up some reserves!. Also, you get less sunshine in winter (between staying indoors, earlier sunsets, et cetera)!. Sunshine is important to several functions in your body, and not getting enough can literally make you depressed because your brain needs it to produce certain chemicals!. You can google this, its true!. Also, winter tends to be a season where you abuse your body!. Lots of holidays to eat junk, fresh fruit and veggie intake tends to go down, and you tend to get less exercise between the cold and the lighting!. All of this will decrease your immune system!.

3- Lower humidity equals more germ!. Colder air tends to equal lower humidity, and its easier for germs to travel!. The humidity issue is why many people move to warmer climates for lung illnesses, aging related issues, and assorted health problems!. Germs have more trouble moving through saturated air, become heavy, and fall more rapidly!. Its a micro issue, but it still counts!.

So no, it isnt "cold" that makes you sick in winter, its all the things that come WITH the cold!.
