My boyfriend is getting his tonsils taken out...?!

Question: My boyfriend is getting his tonsils taken out!.!.!.!?
My boyfriend (almost 18 yrs old) is getting his tonsils taken out next Thursday (the day before Halloween) because of a lump that developed on the side of his neck!. So he is getting both the lump and his tonsils removed!.

He is VERY bummed because Halloween is his absolute favorite holiday and he won't be able to do anything outside of his house!. So I am planning on going over to his house to keep him company!.

I want to put together a Halloween themed care package type thing for him!. I know candy is a big no-no after surgery so if i put any of that in there it'll be for awhile after!.

My question is, what kind of stuff should I put in there that he could enjoy the day after surgery!? (food and other stuff, too)

Thanks in advance!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
That's super thoughtful!. I love putting together care packages, etc!.!.!.some ideas!.!.!.

-flavored throat drops (make sure this is okay, since he might not want to suck on things for fear of ripping stiches)
-boxed tea
-a good book or a magazine since he'll be sitting around that day
-a box of jello or pudding you can make him
-a cool water bottle to keep filled so he keeps hydrated
-rent his favorite movie
-a crossword puzzle book (or something similar he'd like)

Yeah, get some orange sherbert and stuff
with halloween sprinkles or something!.
Also, I'm sure they have halloween pop sickles that
have scary halloween graphics on them!.
You can buy those to, but make sure he has
his heat on HIGH because its kinda freezing
outside!.lol!.
but good luck!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i got my tonsils out i ate a lot of ice cream and stuff like that!. so if you make something out of that!. just anything that he doesn't have to chew would work!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Frozen grapes would be good!. Maybe a cream soup like asparagus or
cream of mushroom!? Also, some cubes of jello, or jello in funny halloween shapes - and orange, of course :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
