How Can I get him to quit drinking?!
Question: How Can I get him to quit drinking!?
My husband drinks every night after work, at least a 12 pack or a most of a liter of vodka, not both its one or the other!. He admitted to me that he did not know how to stop!. He refuses to go to AA cause he doesn't like to be around smokers!. ANY ADVICE PLEASE I love him and don't want to see anything happen to him!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Alcohol addiction can not be cured unless the person wants to!. There are other treatment options other than AA!. He can go to his doctor and get put on anabuse which is a drug that makes someone physically ill if they even touch alcohol!.!.but if he stops taking the drug then he can drink again!.!.Point of fact!.!.he probably doesn't want to quit and you are going to have to convince him that if he doesn't he could lose you!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
This is risky!. But tell him if he doesn't stop drinking you will reevaluate where your relationship is at!. It is very risky though!. Because you are asking him to choose between you and the bottle!.
AA does make the most sense!. Maybe you can get him to go by going with him!. Let's be fair, you will need help too in coping with your husband's problems of addiction!.

The only why he is going to stop drinking is if he wants too !. You have to find a reason for him to want to stop!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
