Is overanalyzing things having an effect on my health?!

Question: Is overanalyzing things having an effect on my health!?
So when a problem comes up I tend to think about it way too much to the point where I cant rest until i solve it!. For example, if I were to plan on going to a trip for a weekend I will spend all my time planning this and trying to make it so I know exactly what will happen the way I want it!. Also, I tend to try this in relationships!. I will sit down and plan how I will talk to the girl and pick her up and all of that stuff!. Now this may not sound like a big deal but when I talk to all my friends they tell me to relax and just say "whatever happens happens"!. For some reason I just cant except that!. Lately(since im in college) I tend to not sleep much from thinking about everything and constantly am making little issues a problem that I feel I need to solve!. I dont know how to chill out and just let life flow!. Also I am getting my dreams mixed up with real life events!. Many times I am having these dreams as memories and believe they are actually real life events!. Im starting to think that this stupid head of mine is causing some health issues!. Im alot more jittery!. But sometimes I dont know if its just me working myself up from thinking about this and making this a big deal when its nothing!. I mean look at this text Its outragous!. How do I fix this problem!. Any ideas!. Thanks!.!!!!

College can be hard and a stressful time in life!. I'd find someone you can talk with!. And if you're seriously concerned, than make that person a professional who's equipped to help you best!.

The over analyzing!.!.!.can cause more anxiety!. (I believe it is called rumination!.) Your perfectionism will cause the same if you allow it!. Hence the lack of sleep!.

*Try not letting your self dwell on some of the problems that can realistically wait to be settled!. Just tell yourself "don't think" and force your brain to move on to something that is more calming!.
*By your night stand, keep a pad of paper!. If you think of something you just "CAN'T" forget!.!.or have to solve!.!.write it down so you can pick it up first thing in the am, and you can rest easy knowing you'll not forget to do it!.
*not very adventurous!? try putting your self into mini situations where you know you'll have to be spontaneous!. One in which you know what the worst outcome will be!. You'll see through your own experience that it wasn't such a big deal that it went unplanned!.

Good luck! & try someone truly qualified to help listen to you!. they'll help you keep track of your health, and have your best interest at heart!.

If you want to plan for the appointment :) they'd probably wanna know stuff like how long you've been losing sleep and been jittery!. When you're dreams started to become confusing with reality!. How detailed is your planning!? Or, they may just wanna know about you and what ya study!. :D feel betterWww@Answer-Health@Com
