Are pharmacy's a loud to do this?!

Question: Are pharmacy's a loud to do this!?
I have been taking the same Birth Control pill for 3 years!. A month ago, I went to get a re-fill, and the pharmacy told me that they had to order my pills, and I could pick it up the next day!. I went to pick it up, and it was a total different birth control!. They told me the order of my other birth control didn't come in yet, and if I could take this kind of birth control for a month!. So I said fine!.!.!. Well then this week, I called to get a re-fill of my birth control, and gave them the prescription of my previos birth control I have been taking for 3 months, and again, they said they had to order it!.!.!.!. (well I thought they already had) when I went to pick it up, it was the one they gave me last month!.!.!. The wrong one!. And since taking this new birth control my hormones have been crazy for 2 straight weeks!. I have felt angry and depressed!. I called the pharmacist, and asked what the deal was, and they said that the order didnt go through or something pretty much just "blah, blah, blah" I got really mad, because of my hormones and said to them that this is not right that they are changing my birth control without my doctors permission, and they should be sued!. I mean seriously, I have been feeling like I have been going crazy because of this birth control!. Are pharmacys allowed to switch birth control on people!? Its like someone going to the doctor because they are sick, and the doctor prescribes that person medicine, but the pharmacy says "no, take this instead" I called the doctors office, and a nurse is supposed to call me back!. Whats up with this!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

First they shouldn't do that, sometimes pharmacists get "doctor envy"!.!.!.( not that all do)!.!.!.!.And second you should be careful, with a change like that you should use extra protection!.!.( as inconvenient and not near as fun as that sounds)!.!.!.!.I can tell you that a little change like that can cause "accidents"!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I love my son to death, and would never consider him an accident, but that's how he came to be, so be carefulWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, pharmacies are allowed to do this!. However, you have the right to talk to your doctor, or to simply call different pharmacies until you find the brand you were taking before!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wouldn't take them if they are different!. They shouldn't change them without your doctors approval!. If they can't give you your prescription you gave them I'd go to another pharmacy!. I don't think that is right and would check with your Doctor before taking any more of them!. I always check to make sure mine are the same!. A pharmacy got one of my Mother's mixed up and she got really sick and ended up at the ER!. It had codeine in it and she is allergic to it!. Please check and make sure it's ok to take before taking it!. It might be similar to your other but it might be right for you!. God Bless!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes the pharmacy can do this!. It's called generic prescriptions of the real ma coy!. You doctor will have to written you another script and indicate in the square box that you are to have non generic birth control!. However, you may have to switch pharmacies if their vendor not stock that particular brand!.

I have worked in the health industry for over 20 years and what I can say is the generics are fine for most prescriptions but I personally don't like generic birth control for myself!. There is a difference to me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
