Neurologically what's happening is your brain is going into fight or flight mode due to paranoid delusions brought on during a psychotic break induced by a psychoactive chemical, THC!.
Psychoactive drugs work by altering your perceptions of reality, this is the clinical definition of psychosis, and part of that altered reality is the risk of paranoia!. The drug itself does not cause the paranoia, the person's own psyche is creating that because it is suffering a psychotic break and doesn't know that to do!.
Think of it this way, cannabis allows you to do a form of day dreaming, lucent dreaming almost, and some people have nightmares while others don't!. That doesn't mean dreaming is bad; some people just have dark thoughts and their subconscious lets it out!.

it probably has somehitng to do with the fact that the marijuana affects the central nervous system!. not everyone who smokes is affected with paranoia though so thats something else you should look intoWww@Answer-Health@Com
