Question: Why does your brain signal that you're dying during a panic attack!?
I've heard it's very common to feel that you're dying during a panic attack!. By this i mean, not that the pain is so bad that you're dying, but you are suddenly SURE you are about to die!.

I've had one and it proved true, i was SURE i was going to die, i didn't know why but i knew i was going to die!. of course i never did!.!.!.!. But how does that reaction occur!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The reason most feel that they're dying during a panic attack is because of the chemical changes that occur in their body, causing chemical imbalances!. Sadly enough, that's as informative as anyone's answer to this question can be!. See, there is no proven answer to fully describe steps as to how these imbalances occur, not to mention why they happen!. If we were to take a look at the research and conclusions of clinical study after clinical study, we'd see that not even doctors, scientists or clinical researchers know exactly what causes a chemical imbalance!. In fact, it was virtually impossible to come up with conclusive evidence!.

Here's a link that covers more information on the fear of death, or just fright in general, that most people experience during a panic attack!. It doesn't exactly answer your question, seeing how there really isn't a precise answer, but it does cover the topic a little bit more, in case you were interested:

I am not a doctor(yet) so im not totally sure but im guessing that the feeling of dying is associated with panic attacks like when i have panic attacks i feel like i am going to die and freak out and try to get my heart rate normal and breathing rate normal but i still freak out that i am going to die so it makes it hard to feel ok again!. idk if i helped but maybe it could also be because your brain thinks you are dying so it sends out that feeling to alert you but its just a panic attack which wont kill you (usually)Www@Answer-Health@Com
