Help with broken toes?!

Question: Help with broken toes!?
I tripped and fell the other day (Monday night) and broke two of my toes on my right foot!. The 4th and 5th toes!.

What is the best way to tape them up!? And what kind of shoes should I be wearing!?

My foot is still very swollen and all I can put on is a flip flop!.

Luckily I work in an office and can keep my foot up on a box under my desk, which helps with the pain a little, but I am still very very sore,

Also I should not be walking on it right!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Put a piece of square gauze inbetween the two toes, then tape them together with some surgical tape!. Don't try to force them into small shoes, stick with flip flops but really try to rest it as much as possible!. You might want to buy a boot to wear that will stop any movement of the toes, you can find them at places like CVS or Walgreens!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with Dano, but you may also want to take Advil or something of that nature for the pain!. Ice is great too! Since you are sitting during the day with your foot elevated, you are on the right track!. Take a bag of frozen peas or something like that and ice those toes! :) I hope all of this helps!. Broken toes are not fun at all! They rank right up there with broken fingers!. (!.!.!.a pain that can't readily be resolved and a big inconvenience!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have proken my pinkie toes 7 times ( You think i would learn)!.

I just taped the 4th and 5th together!. There's no real right way to do it yourself!. If you are comfortable, trust your instints!.

The only way to make sure that they don't end up slightly crooked if the Dr!. has a device!. ( they never gave me one)

Walking isn't really a big issue, unless it hurts!. I wouldn't go run a marathon or anything, but everyday walking should be okay!.

Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Didn't the ER give you any advise on taping the toes!? I do not think walking on it will matter as toes heal pretty quick!.!.!.done it myself, but man it hurts! Open toed shoes for sure and ice!. Check out the link!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
