Question: Do tounge piercings hurt!?
Ive wanted my tounge piercing for a while now, but im really scared it will hurt, or i will close my mouth when hes doing it and bite him :$!.
and also, i was watching a TV programme last week, and this girl got it done, but it had got all infected and it gave her bad breath and a horrible yellow puss on her tounge which put me off it a bit!.
i dont want mine to go like that but i really wanna get it done!.
although im 14 and afraid my parents wont let me!.
is it expensive, can you get it numbed!?

Hey! Coming from someone that has had it done but now Im 22 and feel im a bit too old for it I would say do it if you want and if your parents let you!. Don't do it with out their permission serious stuff can happen if you don't get it done right!. And I wouldn't say it hurt while getting it !.!.!. it felt really weird going through!. And yes the bad breath can come along with it!. I didn't have it so much but I knew a few people that had it and didn't take care of themselves very well and not so good!. And yes puss can and maybe will come out of it!. So be prepared!. It does hurt after it since your tongue is sore and all you can eat is soup pretty much and eat ice to keep the swelling down!. It is very painful!. You bleed a lot and this can make you nauseous!. You cannot eat spicy food for a LONG time and may be sensitive to it for as long as you have the piercing!.
I would not recommend it, and if your parents do not allow it you won't be able to get it done legally!. If you get it done illegally it could be done badly and you could get an infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it doesn't hurt that bad while it is being done!. you can buy orajel or something else for toothaches to numb it!. it hurts for a day or so afterwards cause it's all swollen!. and it can get infected!. the good thing about it is that when you decide you don't want it anymore (and you will) you can take it out and it will just close right up again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Tongue piercings do hurt, and they're the most difficult to keep clean because, of course, you put food in your mouth all the time and you can't just swish mouthwash every second of the day!. Also, people cause a lot of damage to their teeth with tongue rings, costing hundreds in dental bills!.

i got mine done when i was younger, it does not hurt!. It is really fast and painless for the most part!. Just a pinch!. You will not bite anyone!. It heals rather fast they will tell you to eat chipped ice or something!. Your tongue will be swollen for a few days then back to normal!.
I recommend not getting it done, it gets old fast I took mine out a year later!. In the long run, it can damage your gums and teeth!.

Yea, it hurts!. Alot!. One of the Most painful piercings actually!.
Plus, I'm 21 and believe me when you get older, most guys, and girls, actually think it looks trashy!. And there really is no point in doing it!. It's not one of those piercings you can really show off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well have you bit your toung!? if you have then it would probibly hurt with steel making a hole on your toung!. so use common logic if it hurts to bite your toung then it would hurt to peirce your toung!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

In Toronto it's about $80 to get done!. Pay the extra money to get it done right and you'll heal much better and be more comfortabe!. I would have paid $200 to have it done right because I've heard people who cheap out have it uncomfortably positioned and bite down on it all the time!. While it's healing, rinse with salt water EVERY time you put anything in your mouth!. It doesn't hurt nearly as much as you'd expect because the forceps they use to hold your tongue is so tight it numbs your tongue!. It starts feeling better at around 3 days and at 2 weeks it feels like you've had it forever and can put a smaller post in!. Don't worry about biting the piercer, once the needle is in your tongue will feel so shocked you can hardly pull it back in your mouth when he's done!
