Question: What are some good antihistamines that won't cause excessive sedation!?
My husband is on lots of seizure medication!. He has a bad cold at this time and wants something to unclog his passages!. I was thinking something along the lines of DayQuil, but I'm not sure!. I had wanted to give him one of my Vistaril 25 mg pills because it is an antihistamine (I take it as an anti-anxiety agent and one pill works for 48 hours for me -- I am on a little bit of antiseizure medicine myself), but I'm afraid to give him a Vistaril as I think it will sedate him excessively as he is on lots more seizure medicine than I am!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't give him Vistaril!. Better give him cetirizine (ask for brand names in a pharmacy, it is over the counter) It is not sedative and doesn't ente the brainWww@Answer-Health@Com
