Question: I think my brother does drugs!?
Ok well I'm 13 and I know I should probably stay out of it but i'm pretty sure my 15 year old brother does drugs!. There was an incident a while ago where he got caught by my parents with his friends but he swore to my parents and I that he stopped and I believed him!. But now it's a while later and I'm finding out that he is friends with the biggest pothead at the high school! I'm not sure what to do, i really want to help him!.!.!.any suggestions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bring it up at dinner, with everyone there!. Don't accuse him of anything, just say something like "Are you hanging out with Darrin!? I heard he smokes weed every day Is he still doing that!?" Something like that!. Get the ball rolling, but don't rat him out totally!.

Well, try talking to him about how you feel at first!. He might tell you to butt out but at least he'll know you're onto him!. As far as your parents go, they're probably not ignorant as to what's going on!. I would try to stay "neutral" and just do what you can to keep your eyes and ears open!. Experimenting with a little weed isn't the end of the world - you just want to make sure he doesn't get into a bad habit of doing it all the time and/or smoking cigarettes and doing other harder drugs!.
Just use your best judgment, if you think it's time to blow the whistle to your parents then do it - but try and be 100% sure he's really screwing up bad and not just being a little bit irresponsible!.!.!. if it's weed and video games at his buddies house, just ignore it!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

"!.!.!.because weed is better than alcohol (still not saying weed is good for you)!.!.!.," This is a bogus and foolish statement that has led many people to pursue illegal drug use!. You seem to be sincerely interested and scared for your brother's well-being, so if this is true you need to first shield yourself from the harm of the drug as well!. This can be done by going on-line and getting information about the cause and effects of the drug!. Talk to a local police officer, not to divulge your suspicions but just from what the officer knows from experience either from stopping someone under the influence while driving,etc!.,etc!.,etc!.,!.
And if possible consult with a medical professional, they may be able to acquaint you with the resulting side effects of drug use!. But if you really want to help him, stay far away from drugs yourself!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I'm 13 too and I was the one that caught my 17 year old brother smoking this past summer!. You got to get some evidence before you start accusing your brother!. Maybe you could spy on him or maybe his dirty clothes smell like smoke!. That would be the evidence!. Then you can tell your parents and they can help him better than you can!. ok, i would stay out of his business IF its only weed!. its not worth getting him in trouble for because weed is better than alcohol (still not saying weed is good for you) but if hes into other drugs i would be concerned!. just talk to him about it personally, not your parents!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Tell your parents secretly!. They could drug test him randomly to make sure he isnt using drugs!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
