Is there a way to make donating blood easier for me?!

Question: Is there a way to make donating blood easier for me!?
I tried to donate blood today at school, but they had a hard time finding a good vein because they're small and don't stick out at all!.

It really hurt, the blood stopped coming out and the nurse had to keep readjusting the needle which made it hurt even more!. Plus the soreness didn't go away like they said it would after they inserted it!. They had to take it out early without me giving much blood!.

I really want to donate again because I feel like I didn't really accomplish anything today!.

What I want to know is if there is a way to make donating less of an unpleasant and tedious process for me!. I've heard that I could exercise more, to make my veins bigger!. But how much!? Does it work!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey Bren-duh (haha),
You could lift weights, but that takes a lot of weight lifting to get big bulging veins!.

The best thing to do is to wrap a warm cloth around your arm and hand before they try and find a vein!. Maybe you could find some sort of hot pack and use that!. The warmth makes the veins bigger and a lot easier to poke!.

Don't get discouraged!. It always depends on the time!. I have had dozens of IV's as well as blood draws in the last few years!.!.!. every time is different!. Sometimes they get me on one poke and other times it takes 4 or 5!. Also, sometimes they will get it in there and it will slip and they'll have to do it again!. It also depends on who is pricking you!. Some people are much better at it than others!. You can always ask for whomever does the best job!.

You're awesome for donating your blood!. Thanks for that act of service, and if you have any questions, please IM or email me =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Although not directly applicable to your question bren, variety of exercise is the key I have found!. For example!.!.an exercise called Mountain Climbers!.

Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup position
and then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees are
moving in under your chest and then back out to starting
position!. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat on
the floor!. If you want an advanced version, you can also shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward in
addition to the leg movements!. This really makes it a full
body exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers!.

After finishing each exercise, rest about 30 seconds before
starting the next exercise!. Rest about 1-2 minutes after
completing each "tri-set" before repeating!.

This will give you one of the best ab workouts you've ever had
without even doing any direct ab exercises!. You'll see what I
mean after you try it!

Once you get away from the myth that a 1000 crunches and 500 situps a day is all you need to do for great abs, then amazing results can be seen!.

There is a completely free 65 page ebook about exercise, nutrition, abs and stomaches in particular at http://www!.projext!.co!.uk that you can download (no catch!) and it is excellent!.

It helped me greatly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
