Hi,

This is a situation you should let them know about BEFORE the vaccinations!.!.!.!.but, also, first, ASK your pharmacist as well!.!.!.!.they should be able to give you more info on the vaccination question/the tendonitis risk I will mention below!.!.!.!.!.

1!. ARE you feeling better!?!?

I ask this because you should not get vaccinations if you are not feeling well!. Some say you CAN, others will say NO!.!.!.!.*mostly depends on the vaccine/doc!.

2!. CIPRO and it's relatives (levaquin, avelox) all have BLACK BOX warnings on them!.!.!.!.!.as they can cause TENDONITIS or SEVERE SUDDEN TENDON RUPTURE!.!.!.!.!.this is listed as RARE, but, it CAN happen!. My husband was on one of these, had an allergic reaction to it after 2 days, stopped it, and 2 days later, TORE his tendon/muscle SEVERELY in his calf!.!.!.!.so, the risk IS THERE!.!.!.!.and it IS MISSED!.!.!.!.!.just be aware if you have ANY PAIN that is a sudden TEARING or SNAPPING!.!.!.!.STOP!! and seek help!! before it is too late!.!.!.!.it took my husband 12 weeks to recover from it, as it re-tore a week later!.!.!.and it was bad too!.

Good luck to you, and congrats on the military!! Hope it goes well!! Stay safe!

Adding this after your update----

Your vaccinations should be fine!.!.!.!.however, the bigger concern would be the tendonitis and tendon rupture!.!.!.!.this can happen following this antibiotic and a few others!.!.!.!.however, it can also happen following rigorous physical activity like you will be subjected to in basic training!. If you are in really good shape now, just make sure you STAY hydrated during now AND during basic training, eat right NOW before you go to basic training!.!.!.!.and again!.!.!.!.just be aware it can happen!.!.!.!.if it does, seek assistance SOONER rather than later!. This happens in only a small percentage of people, but, it is serious enough that it deserved a black box warning on the antibiotics!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

Again, good luck, and stay safe!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Cipro is selective, short acting antibiotic for specific bacteria!. You take it for 10 days so that the bacteria are good and gone!. Since the Cipro has done its job, it goes away as well!.

May well want to follow up with the doc to be sure your symptoms are resolved and the bacteria gone when you have finished your course of antibiotics!.

You should be receiving about 2 vacs a week during Basic!.

Thank you for enlisting and at such a tumultuous time!. Best wishes to you!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Let them know you are taking Cipro!. Although rare, it has been documented for it to lead to an increased incidence of tendon ruptures!. But make sure they are aware and you will be fine!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell them about the Cipro before getting the vaccinations!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

nope!.!.!.you're fine!.!.!.
take it for the whole 10 days!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
