An MRI is painless unless you have a lot of metal implants that could be jerked from your body and through the skin because of the massive magnetic field that will pull at them!. Otherwise, the only pain you will fill is the claustrophobic freak-out of being in that cramped space for so long!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you dont like small spaces its the worst thing in the world youll ever be put through if you dont it can be a little stressful usually the room you go in is cold !.!. like any doctor or medical room is!.!. you basically are instructed to stay as still as possible because if you move you have to start alllll over again, your either given ear plugs or earphones for music because the machine is extremely loud it takes a while at least a half hour it can be a little stressful but try and stay calm and relaxedWww@Answer-Health@Com

I had one!. The actual process warms you up a bit!. Leave any jewelry with a parent or friend, or it will be torn off you or burn!. The only issue really is if you don't like close spaces, but if you're far enough in, you can look out the other side!. My doctor prescribed a relaxant like Prozac so it wasn't bad!. You might also have to hold your breath for several seconds at a time, that was the hard part!.

Good luck, get well soon!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You lay on a comfortable mat and are slid into a large tube!. The machine itself sounds like a far away jackhammer!. At the last MRI I had, several years ago, they provided headphones and music to block some of the noise!. All in all, not awful unless you are claustrophobic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I hope your not claustrophobic!. If you are its going to feel tight and then you start to hyperventilate!. The best way to get over an MRI (If its closed) is to put a towel over your eyes and listen to yourself hum!. You might want to see if there are any open MRI machines available!. Those are a lot better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not a big deal at all, I had one because I have such awful migraines, and it was totally fine!. If you're claustrophobic then you should get some medicine for it, but make sure someone can drive you home after wards!. Don't worry, it's really relaxing!. You can listen to music while you're in there :}Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi there!. I've had a couple done on my head!.

It is totally painless!. You lie down and then you are slid into a tunnel type of thing!. If you are claustrophobic then you should maybe consider taking something to relax!.
It takes a while so it is kinda boring!. And it is quite loud at times!.

If you close your eyes and forget where you are, it's just like lying in bed with construction work happening in the next room!.

Totally painless and totally nothing to be scared of!.

Good luck!. When you've finished get back on and make an addition to your post to tell us all how you went!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have never had one, but i assume that you will wear only a hospital gown, and i believe that you must lie very still!. i don't imagine it will hurt, but i do think it takes awhile to load the image, whether that is several minutes or several hours, i could not tell you!. may i ask what for!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had to have a MRI and to me it didn't hurt!. !. !. the people at the hospital told me it would feel like a bee sting but it didn't even hurt that bad! it doesn't hurt at all!.!.!. in my opinion anyways!. don't worry about it! and i'm 11 so if it doesn't hurt me then it should not hurt you LOLWww@Answer-Health@Com

You take off al jewellery and mobile and metal stuff since its magnetic then you lay down in this tube thing and get told not to move at all but you prob!. will just a little bit though!. lol!. then the mri scans you and then you get to see this cool mri pic!. of what you look like from the inside!. lol

Good LuckWww@Answer-Health@Com

Boring - takes about 20 minutes and you have to lay perfectly still!. It's a little noisy, but painless!. Some people who have claustrophobia have some difficulty due to the close quarters, if you have a concern about that talk to the radiologist before the test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are different types of MRI machines!.

Closed: It's slightly claustrophobic and you're not suppose to move!. Just stay calm!. It is also loud!.

Open: Better, because it isn't as claustrophobic!. Don't move and don't panic!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bring a cd or an ipod!. I listened to Pink Floyd The Wall for my last mri!. It's not bad - just loud and boring!. You almost think somehthing is wrong with it because the banging noise is so loud!. Just relax and pretend you are somewhere else!.!.!.!. Like a floyd show!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not that bad, and better if they have headphones so you can listen to music!. You hold a button just in case you need anything or get claustrophobic and during it you just hear a bunch of loud clicking noises!. Let us know how it turns out!Www@Answer-Health@Com

totally painless, but also totally boring!. if you get a good tech he/she'll play music while you wait!. but nothing to worry about!. kinda loud!. just think of some interesting questions to ask yourself!. go pee before hand!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's easy!. You just lay on a table and you will be slid into this large ring or hoop, and it spins around while taking images!. You just have to be still!. You have nothing to be afraid of!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

lying down wearing a hospital gown!. may imagine that you're in a coffin!.
it might take long, refrain from moving!. relax and imagine happy things!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've never had a c-spine MRI but I did have one on my head when I was younger!. It's really not that bad!. You lay still (unless told otherwise) as the machine does what it needs to do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It feels like somebody takes a rusty metal hook, and drives it into your insides, they then ruffel about and realize they made a mistake and close up your insides with a stapel gun and welder!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

like submerging in a fluid like medium but hitting your head on the ground but the same time like an orgasmic exploision of psychedelic insectisoids!. basically ur screwedWww@Answer-Health@Com

its actually fun!. u go in a tube !. and u cant move!. and all thee cool noises are everywhre like theres a war going on behind u!. but u cant move so its annoying but very fun cosidering its 45 minutes on averageWww@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry to say this but a family member told me it was like being in a coffin~not that they would know what that would be like!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
