Question: Is it bad to have my finger swelled at the tip!?
My middle finger is swelling around my nail!. It doesn't hurt, as much as there is just pressure building!.
There is red discoloration, but no purples or blues!. No recent trauma or injuries!.

In all likelihood you have developed an infection in your finger!. You do have some options for treating this situation!. You can soak your finger in warm soapy water for 15 minutes 2-3 times a day!. Afterwords dry your finger well with a clean towel or paper towel!. Then apply an antibiotic ointment such as bacitracin or triple antibiotic ointment to the area that you see the redness on and cover with a bandaid to keep the medication in the area!. It is important that you change the bandaid if it gets wet because the moisture could cause the infection to get worse!.
If you don't see considerable improvement by the third day after starting this or it continues to get worse after 2 days of this you should see a doctor for an antibiotic prescription!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
