Is molasses and oates a good feed for horses?!

Question: Is molasses and oates a good feed for horses!?
If so how much oats and how much molasses!?
If not what else can you use at home to give as a feed!?
How do you give them oil!?
What kind of oil is best in there feed and what does it do(is olive oil one)!?
Is there anything else I can use that is natural to keep my horse healthy!?
I saw on the internet that horses will eat sunflower seeds and raisins should the sunflower seeds be salted or unsalted(I do not have any form of salt to give him I will have to buy a salt block when I can), can I mix them together and add something else to make a feed(like oats)!?

Thanks for answering my questionsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Do not feed your horse molasses! It's like giving table sugar to children!. Horrible!
Oats + Barley + Milo grain combination's are good, but all horses still need roughage (hay) in their diet!. (Grass hay, Alfalfa, Oat, Wheat, 3-Way are good ones)
As for amounts, it depends on the weight of the horse an how much exercise it's getting!.
If you're going to feed the horse sunflower seeds, make sure they're UNSALTED!.
Use a mineral salt block!. Those are the best!. The horse will need plenty of water!. A horse can drink 15-40 gallons of water a day!

We have two horses!. I remember at one point in time, we fed them feed and molasses mixed!. I can't remember what mom said it did for them, I know it was good!. And i'm not sure about how much molasses and oats we put in!. I think it was about a cup for two scoops (about a 6 cup scoop) of feed!. !?

I hope this helped! =]Www@Answer-Health@Com
