Question: Who wants to answer a gross question about bodily functions!?
Sorry to be gross, but I really want to know!.

Why does poop size vary!?
Mostly it's just normal, but occasionally it really hurts and seems like you're trying to pass a brick!.

Why!?

I get if you eat more you poop more, but what makes the thickness/diameter change!? You can go more without it being huge and painful, so why is it sometimes bigger than other times!?

It's about what you eat, the quantity, how much fiber is in it, how long it takes to digest, and how much liquid is in it!. Any of those variables can change and that would cause the differences!. It's a little easier when you eat smaller meals and drink lots of water!. Beef is harder to digest than chicken and both are harder to digest than fruits, cereals, vegetables!. And then there's stress, where your stomach gets tied up in knots -- the colon can get stressed just like any other muscle and relaxed as well, so that would account for the size!.

And to just to make you laugh, have you heard of the poopie list!? I've put a link below - you've gotta read it!. My friend gave it to me and we couldn't stop laughing all night!.

Ha ha, can't believe I'm answering, and I really don't have a good idea, here's my guess!. I think if you eat healthy food, your bowel movements will be frequent and smaller, but if you eat junk and a lot of cheese (which can cause constipation), your bowels get backed up in the intestines, so when the bowel finally pushes through, it's harder and larger!. That's why fiber is recommended, to keep bowels soft, and so you can go regularly without having constipation, or larger stools!. Don't take my word for it, I'm no expert!.!.but this is one of the most interesting questions I've seen, very brave of you to ask!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

The more you eat the bigger!. Also some foods take longer than others to digest so you can have yesterdays and todays food come out in one!. It also hurts more because of how hard it is!. The more fibre the softer it is!. You can get fibre from eating the write amount of fruit!. Eat one or two pieces a day and you'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Alot of the answer that you are looking for is ,that it depends! The body processes' the waste in different ways!. It takes the digestive system alot work to break down the proteins,fats,cholesterol,etc!. As it is being broken down, it starts to back up in the rectal area!. The more solid that the waste is, the more solid it will come out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

has to do with the person and also what they eat!. If you eat one to five prunes a day it makes it easier to go to the bathroom becasue the poop has more moisture in it and not so hard!. If you eat to many prunes the poop has a lot of moisture in it and you end up having diarrhea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The colons job is to help you retain water!. If you are dehydrated it will be harder!. Remember drinking water is not the same as drinking liquids!. Coffee, coke, milk is not the same as water!. Also some more fiber in your diet will also help but then your will really need to drink your water!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

depends what you ate how well your system digested it!. the healthier you eat the "better" it will be unhealthy FOR your body does not want so it sends bigger pieces down there cause it does not have to break it down to get nutrients!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

my only guess is fiber!.!.for whether its hard(too little fiber) or soft!.

Your poop is based on your diet!. different foods break down differently thus causing your poop to be different!. prunes will make you run to bathroom!. Cheese will bind you up!. ect!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
