Question: I'm scared I might have caught something from a homeless man!?
I gave a homeless man a ride earlier today!. I'm not sure what time it was, but it was probably around noon or so!. I don't mean any disrespect toward homeless people, and many of them I've met have been nice people!. But I have health anxiety and I worry about health issues!. Anyway, he seemed a little mentally ill (claimed to work for the CIA, said his name was Jesus Godfrey), and I'm worried that I could have caught something from him as we were in an enclosed car for a several blocks!. I started worrying earlier and didn't have any symptoms!. Within the last hour or so, I've been sneezing and my nose is running!. He didn't seem to have a cold!. Could I have caught something really bad!? I'm worried that I could have some rare disease transmitted through the air!. !. !. it scares me!. What do you think the chances are!? Should I go to the doctor for a TB skin test now!? Thanks, and sorry for how paranoid I sound!. I just worry about this kind of thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The incubation period for TB is months and years, not hours or overnight, so rest your mind!. You probably got yourself freaked out after he got in the car, and although that was a generous thing to do, he scared you a bit!. Several blocks of driving would not give you anything except maybe a cold, or an allergic reaction to something, or maybe bugs!. You'd be surprised how the mind can rev things up when you are scared!. If it makes you feel better, get a checkup with a doctor, but I wouldn't think it's necessary!. Take some vitamins, aspirin, and take care of yourself and see if this just doesn't pass!. And I'd wash the clothes I was wearing just to be on the safe side!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You can catch something from someone everywhere, every time you go out or every time someone visits you!. If you ever sit in a bus, aeroplane or train you are jammed up with lots of people all breathing the same air and you can guarantee that not all of them are 100% healthy!.
I wouldn't give a homeless person a ride in my car!. Mostly because they don't wash very often and they generally don't think like most people or they would not have adopted that lifestyle but you could have caught a cold from anyone!. Even millionaires get them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's the fact that you get paranoid over things like this, that you think you caught something!. you're brain is creating all these little things to make you think you caught something!.!. like sneezing/runny nose!. you're creating that yourself!. there's nothing other then a MAYBE a cold that you can catch through air!.!. and even a cold, he'd have to have sneezed/coughed ALOT in your car for you to catch it!.

He could have been recovering from a cold which can transfer through the air!. Or he could have been carrying something around that your allergic too!. I can sympathise though i have the same sort of problem!. I once shook a homeless persons hand and got really paranoid!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just because someone who is homeless is in the car with you, doesn't necessarily mean that he gave you something dangerous!. If the person had a simple cold, its possible that you could have caught it, but, it could have been anyone!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Assuming that you just gave him a ride home and had no intimate contact, I really don't see how you could have picked up anything that fast!. You may have already been getting a cold, or you may have worried yourself into a psychosomatic reaction!.
It's not a good idea to give strangers rides!. You never know who the next nut job/axe murder/thief/etc!. they'll turn out to be!. Today, sometimes it's just to risky to be a Good Samaritan that way!. Donate to a local homeless shelter or soup kitchen!.
