I sleep excessively, what could be the matter?!


Question: I sleep excessively, what could be the matter!?
I am being honest when I say that I typically sleep 29 hours a night on Friday, 25 on Saturday and 12 on Sunday, and I am still tired!. I sleep about 10 hrs a night weeknights!.

I'm not fatigued (ie fever headache etc), just sleepy, all the time!. I'm not stressed and I dont drink!.!.!. my dr cant suggest anything and has referred me to a sleep lab but I am worried! This has been going on for 11 months now and I'm only 26; will I be like this for the rest of my life!?

If you don't sleep a decent, well hours of sleep-then a sleep lab might be a plus!.
Did he do some blood test on you, check if you have anemia!? (there's different kinds of anemia-genetic or increases s/s with your menstrual!.
Take multivitamins and if you do find out some vitamins are used for people with insomnia!. example:Magnesium!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

29 hours of sleep Friday and 25 on Saturday means you did not wake up during the weekend!. That's going to sleep on Friday night and waking up on Monday morning!. !.!.!. Not sure where the "12 on Sunday" fits in, then!.

Sleepy all the time can be depression; or it can be a thyroid or other hormone issue!. It can also be a sign of poor sleep quality, which can be caused by things like sleep apnea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The more you sleep, the more your body will crave it!. Wake up early every morning and don't go back to sleep, you will get used to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Excessive sleeping makes me sleepy haha!.!.!. try to get out of the habit by getting busy with other things!.!.!. take a walk or go to the library or something!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you might have a form of narcolepsy (neurological disorder which makes you feel very sleepy)Www@Answer-Health@Com

sleeping too long makes you sleepy!. get into a routine like 10pm to 8am EVERY day!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
