Woolly scarf makes my neck itch?!
Question: Woolly scarf makes my neck itch!?
My friend knitted me a scarf!. It's lovely and soft and warm but when I wear it for any length of time, it makes my neck itch!. I don't want to hurt her feelings by not wearing it, but can't bear the itching!. Any advice on something to do!? I've tried polo neck jumper, but can't always be wearing them!.

Honestly, i would tell her the truth, i can't wear wool either, my grandma once made me the most beautiful scarf and i couldn't wear it, i nearly cried, But i told her the truth and asked her if we could give it to my cousin instead, she might prefer to give it to someone who can really wear it and enjoy it, Make sure you tell her how much you love it and how much you appreciate the thought, you could ask her if you could make you another one, out of different yarn, theres tons of kinds of yarn now, acrylic, cotton, alpaca, angora, even bamboo!
If you really can't bare to tell her the truth you can just sorta go on wearing it!.!. if its not really super freezing there that you actually need to wear it, you could just wear it kinda over your shoulders, without it really touching your neck, just laugh and tell her she made it too warm!.!. Be careful with the suggestions to wash it, wool shrinks!.!. alot, if you don't wash it right you could end up with a shoelace rather than a scarf! But if it were me, i would prefer you just tell me the truth, it sounds like you really liked it, so i would have no problem making you another one!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not much you can do really apart from wearing something with a high collar!. I am sure she would not expect you to wear it all the time!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
