Sometimes, Robitussin DM has opposite effect, esp if you take too much!. We can also work up a tolerance to it!. Remember, Robitussin has a "drying effect" in the presence of which can cause opposite effect, in that it can keep you awake!.
Can try taking it a couple of hours before bed and despite the the fact that it can make you drowsy, but by the time you get to bed, that window of opportunity can quickly have opposite effect, in that "well, buddy!. You had your chance in getting to sleep, but that's over now!." Best if taken right as your head hits the pillow!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Can also try drinking some warm milk and yes, it works (l-tryptophan released by warmed milk) and a couple of tylenol (not PM)!. Melatonin, with the same window of opportunity may also help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
