Weird feeling in face, tmj? stroke? tumor?!

Question: Weird feeling in face, tmj!? stroke!? tumor!?
I am starting to think I am losing it!. I am a 15/f!. Well for several years, very sporadically, i would get this feeling on my face, (either side) that feels like someone is tightening a muscle in my cheek and won't let it go!. Well this time I have had it for a week now (left side) and I am totally flipping out!. It's not numb,no pain, I have no drooping, no slurred speech or blurry vision!. It just feels like I am waiting for it to loosen and it doesn't!. Every now and then I will feel very small spasms in it but nothing that noticable!. I still have full function of my entire face, it's just this darn cheek that feels like it's tightened!. I know it could very well be from stress/anxiety!. I think I am going to die from it, and I also think I have had a stroke, but it is very distressing to have something that you have no idea what it is!. Has anyone EVER had anything like this!? I also thought maybe it could be TMJ!. Or maybe just a pulled muscle!.!.!.but in my CHEEK!?!? And when I bend over it's like I can feel pressure in that area of my cheek, like when youre on a roller coaster and the wind is pushing on your face, does that make any sense!? I have posted this in 2 other forums, and they keep telling me to try different forums, this being one of them!.!.lol!.!.!.so I hope someone out there can help!.Anyways, if anyone has some comforting words for this worrywart, please let me know!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You should get checked for TMJ if you have trouble chewing, opening or shutting your mouth and it causes pain!. I don't think it is a stroke or cancer of any kind!.

Anxiety can cause a lot of problems - including symptoms that are similar to a heart attack!. I have an anxiety disorder, but I don't have those kinds of symptoms!. I did have a small heart attack in my 30s though!. That's what the ER doc told me!. I went to a cardiologist and he humiliated me!. I told myself I would rather die than ever go back to him!. He died of a heart attack, and when I had some surgery last year they picked up on the same EKG tracing as 20 years before!. So, you have some weird symptom!. Do not allow people to bully you into thinking you are making this up!. Go get it checked out!. Your doctor works for you - not the other way around!. Hopefully it is only stress and can be controlled!. I hope all will be OK!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

this doesn't sound completely normal!. it could be nothing at all or something very serious!. it's best to go to a doctor!. i know you may not want to but you realllllly should!.

How about shingles!? Have you had chickenpox recently (or at all)!? The chickenpox virus can hang around in your body, and in some people it can later cause shingles!. Shingles affects the nerves, which will in turn affect your feelings and sensations!.

From wikipedia:
[It can cause] paresthesia ("pins and needles": tingling, pricking, or numbness) !.!.!.!. stinging, tingling, aching, numbing or throbbing, and can be interspersed with quick stabs of agonizing pain !.!.!.!. The pain and rash most commonly occurs on the torso, but can appear on the face, eyes or other parts of the body!.

I have a friend who has occasional problems with shingles, but I don't remember her having a rash!. It does, however, happen on only one side of her body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its tmj dont worry i know its tmj because i have the same problem but ive had the tension for 3 months so i have gotten used to it and its relatively easy to eat and chew but it gets sore after a while the more you chew the more it will hurt till the next day!. the impotant thing is dont play with it because its bothersome i did that and my jaw is currently locked beyond a certain point i can only open my mouth a little bit but its no problem unless your yawning which is very difficult and painful to do!. Your not going to die go to a tmj specialist and get checked out i did and i need surgery but i cant afford it so i have to live with it!. also dont worry about the pressure its common also im 16/m so dont think your the only one your age who has this problem its rare but it happensWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a doctor or anything but I doubt you're going to die from it!. You should see a dentist!. It could be a tooth problem!. As long as you're not getting things like migraines or dizzyness!.!. color or sound dissitortion things you should be OK!.!. Still migh want to see a doctor while you're young so that incase there is a problem you can heal a lot faster now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
