The best site that gives information from multiple sides is Erowid!.

Read the articles/FAQs and you will get all the information you need!.

Long term use can actually have some really bad side effects!. It interferes with the production of myelin (fatty tissue that surrounds nerves) and deactivates vitamin B12!. With frequent use (or just over time) this can lead to weird neurological disorders, even paralysis (usually temporary, but it can last months)!.

Even short term, it can kill you, if you don't get enough oxygen!. It binds closer to hemoglobin than oxygen does, meaning your brain is oxygen deprived!. This is what causes the high from it!. Too little oxygen, and your brain cells start dying!.

Obviously it's not all bad, or it wouldn't be used medically as extensively as it is!. But abusing it, like most things, can have serious consequences!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think the real risk varies based on what you are huffing!.!.!.!. I would look this up but I did this when I was 16 and It almost killed me!. Im not kidding and I wonder if it did permanent damage because I notice key differences in myself now compared to pre-16 that are not exactly the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the brain damage comes from a lack of oxygen!. if you're inhaling straight nitrous you're not letting your brain get the oxygen it needs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
