my grandma has lung cancer, and they gave her darvasets and she went back cause they just made her tired and loopy!.!. haha she said, and then they gave her vikoden and she said the same, is their something strong that wont make her tired!?!? but make her feel better!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Elderly people tend to be more sensitive to the codeine and have reactions such as you describe!. I am not sure that there is a pain med that will not make her tired!. possibly toradol but I am not sure that would affect the pain she is having!. The best I can recommend is contacting the Dr and see what the suggest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Pain killers are depressants and although the poster who said cocaine is correct (because cocaine is a pain killer too), its illegal!.
