Can anybody offer advice for a cold?!

Question: Can anybody offer advice for a cold!?
My nose isn't stuffy, it's just that I have really bad post nasal drip and the mucus is clogging my throat!. I keep having to spit it out in the garbage!.
I'm loading up on Vitamin C pills, drinking lots of orange juice and water, as well as hot ginger tea!.
I've been taking Sudafed every 5 hours, and I've kind of tried up!. But now my throat is like super sore and I have this ridiculously horrible taste in my mouth!. Fever hasn't gone down either!.
Make it go awayyyy!.
Pleaseeee help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Dealing with colds is, at best, a stall or an attempt at treating symptoms and not cause!. The best thing you can do is to give your own immune system time to fight back against the infection!. Taking too many forms of medicine can exacerbate the problem - the body is overloaded with chemicals and suchlike, which diverts resources from dealing with the virus!.

Some top tips I find are:

Bed rest, and lots of it
Putting a pan inside a much larger pan, filling the largest pan with boiling water, and adding vapour rub to the inside of the smaller pan, and breathing in the fumes!.
Chicken soup
Not fighting the symptoms, but trying to encourage them to be over sooner!. For example, I often get a very blocked nose - instead of sniffing, I try and blow it all out!. This is very very gross, but seems to help me!.
Doing some kind of physical - yet easy - task!. Don't exert yourself too much, just do something to try and take your mind off the illness, and get your body working!. Light exercise is a perfect example!.

Good luck, and get well soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
