There are many reasons for this dilemma!. Constipation is not uncommon at all and once feces is extracted it often has blood in it due to the excess force required to push it out, causing anal "fissures" or tears!. Be sure that she drinks plenty of water, eats enough fiber, and is getting exercise!. Another tip in preparing cooked meals that require a fat source is to use olive oil or canola oil during cooking!. This "healthy fat" helps the stool soften in the colon and thus makes it easier to pass!. Give her about a week of making these changes and if things haven't changed you may want to look into if she has irritable bowel syndrome!. This would be the case if she only has trouble passing bowel movements after eating certain foods or has occasional stomach aches after eating specific things, such as spicy foods!. It doesn't really sound like this is the case if the stool appears to look normal and the only abnormality is that it has blood in it!. Again, monitor her diet and be sure to get her enough fiber found in fruits, vegetables, and whole grains!. These will help the stool remain soft!. Also, when she uses the bathroom tell her to try and relax and not force anything out or she will continually reopen the fissures created from prior "forced excretion"!. Hope this helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

could be a lot of different things!. If she is having trouble, and the blood is bright red blood (not black and tarry) then it probably from a tear in the rectum from pushing and having hard "poo"!. you can try a stool softener, they make them for children!. You also can try giving her more fiber rich foods to eat this will also help with the hardness of stool!. If neither of these things work in a day or two then it is time to see a physician!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

with the constipation could come broken blood vessels inside if she is pushing extremely hard to try to go to the bathroom!. try things like lots of water, juices will help, mostly prune!. more fiber in her diet and at an extreme would be a laxative, taken with lots and lots of water or an enema, though an 11 yr old may not like that too much!. I had this happen to me when I was younger and also while I was pregnant and both times the explanation I gave you was what the doctor told me!. He told me to stop trying to force the poop out!. I followed their advice and my pooping went back to normal and the bleeding stopped immediately! I hope this helps!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Anyone studying medicine will tell you the same thing!.!. WE DON'T KNOW UNLESS WE LOOK AT IT!

There are 20 possible diagnoses for your daughter, a doctor needs to look at her and most likely order a blood and stool sample!. If she is 11, she has health insurance!. Use it!. Call your doctor and make an appointment!.

The most common diagnoses for a young child would be constipation, prune or cranberry juice will do the job of clearing her system if taken in large volumes!. However, you do not want to risk looking over something more serious because you did not want to see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like she's constipated!. You should have her increase the fruits and vegetables in her diet, increase water consumption, eat high-fiber foods such as whole grain cereal, and get plenty of exercise to keep the bowels moving!.

The blood could possibly be from the rectal tissue tearing if it's too hard for the stool to pass but since it's blood I would have her checked by a doctor just to be safe!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Trouble passing bile is a sign of constipation!. It is relatively easy to overcome this, but more importantly, ask yourself why is she constipated!. More times than not it is due to an improper diet!. Too much white flour and not enough fiber!. The blood is a different matter, and you should have her checked by a reliable physician!. It could be minor, but have it checked soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
