I worked with a lot of different chemicals, and most of them were acids and corrosives!. Alkalines were the worst for skin, as water didn't do much to wash it off!. We had an alkaline cleaner that would burn until you neutralized it with warm acid! The acid was easier to wash off, as it wasn't so impermeable to water dilution!.
But it shouldn't get into your blood and kill you!.!.!.if anything, it would eat away the veins, cauterizing them at the burn location!. The body is good at self-preservation!. Only injecting a chemical could introduce it to the blood stream!. But NO chemical on the skin for extended periods of time is ever a good thing!.
If it's at work, check the MSDS for first-aid and relevant information!. They legally have to supply it!. If it's at home!.!.!.look at the label!. But most likely rinse, wash, and repeat if necessary!. Contact the local poison control or burn center for more info, if the problem persists!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i did it the other day!. I called poison control and the lady told me to put lotion on it!. I did that night when i went to bed and it was all better the next morning!. What she told me is that its not really a burn it just dries you skin out really bad!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
it would have to be something strong and it would have 2 go into a vein so yes but it would be hard 2 do!. they would prob just get a bad burn Www@Answer-Health@Com
