Question: What is the best otc medicine for a cough!?
I have a really bad cough, deep in my chest!. I'm coughing hard enough it hurts, so I don't want an expectorant, like mucinex, I want something that will stop me from coughing!. Any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

anything with dxm in it (Dextromethorphan is probably what would be on the label)it stops the coughing mechanism so just look on the label for that in ACTIVE ingredients!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
The problem with stopping the cough without producing anything is that you will still have the source of the problem in your chest!. This can lead to an infection which will require antibiotics!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
