What can i do to improve my concentration when studying?!


Question: What can i do to improve my concentration when studying!?

When i am studying, its like i cannot focus, i am always losing focus and walking around aimlessly!. I just can't sit still and study, other things (like asking this question) gains my attention!.
And no i do not have ADHD
I just can't sit still, focus and study
i try to focus but i always ends up day dreaming or thinking about some crap and before i know it, a lot of time has gone
do i have a serious problem!?!? Or am i too lazy!?!?

You're probably just uninterested with the material!. So my advice would be to turn off all distractions-computer, TV, cell phone, anything that will distract you-until you've finished studying!. If you start daydreaming, just remind yourself that whatever you're trying to study is important and you want to do well in that subject!. And if that doesn't work, try your best to make it fun!. Study with a friend (but make sure you guys actually study!) or try to think of little games to help yourself remember the material!.

For example, you could make up a rhyme and repeat it to yourself, have someone quiz you with flashcards-every answer that's correct give yourself a point; if you get a certain number of points reward yourself! Or you can try to associate the material with something funny in real life-that way you'll be more likely to remember it!. You'll find something eventually that will work for you, don't give up and good luck! :) Www@Answer-Health@Com

Motivate yourself to picture a result from your studying!.
Make sure you have plenty of fresh air, no distractions (which your motivation should take care of unless you can't help them) and are not studying while tired without a break first!.
Try and involve things you are genuinely interested in to the study to help you remember points, even if it's a personal comparison with no relevance to the subject!.
Lastly, question whether you are studying something you have no interest in (unless it's a compulsory subject)!.

Well I'm glad to know I'm not the only one!. Although I'm a big procrastinator, once I sit down and concentrate I'm good if my mind is free!. Take 30 mins to yourself before studying to get your mind free of any troubles- talk to friends, take a bath, or maybe try yoga!. Then, after your mind is cleared up- try to sit down and tell yourself that this "needs to get done"!. Also, make sure you have eaten before you study, so your not jittery and all over the place!. Coffee works for some, but for others it will only make matters worse!. You know your body better than anyone so you'll know what makes you feel the best!. Try a couple of these tactics, and hopefully they can help!.

Oh, and also!.!.!.No distractions while studying!! Make sure there's no TV, friends (not studying), radio, or any other temptation that might pull you away from your studies!. If you still can't concentrate- I would recommend seeing a doctor!. Best wishes to you! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
