Haha FULL respect to EmilyTay for her answer!

You're feeling a combination of things:

1!. Pain from your skin being punctured by the needle!.
2!. Your flesh being pushed through by the needle!.
3!. Your vein(s) having the fluid pushed through!.
4!. The surrounding area creating infection with the needle fluid!.
5!. Your body fighting the infection caused by the needle fluid!.

Pretty much you're sore and possibly feeling overall slightly like crap, because that's the medicine doing its' thing!.

Your sore arm and the general crappy feeling should disappear within 48 hours or so!.

You are able to take the usual painkillers to ease the pain, if you wish!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the needle was pushed in to your arm causing a tiny hole!. that is one cause of soreness simply because your nerves sense pain at the puncture site!. whatever was injected into your arm or wherever you had the injection may have a tendency to burn as well, sometimes because of the medicine itself, and also because all of the fluid was pushed into you system at one tiny point!. we have nerves sensing everything all over our body!. even inside our bodies!. we feel lingering pain or soreness at the site because of nerves!. we stop feeling the pain as the site heals!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because the injection has deposited a puddle of fluid in the skin and pressed on the nerve endings, or in the muscle and torn a few fibres apart, or because the fluid does not quite have the same acidity as the tissues and therefore causes some chemical irritation!. But cheer up, these are very minor effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its because your body is creating antibodies and it makes a mini infection on the injection so when you come into contact with this germ or disease your body's immune system knows what its fighting

cos thats the drug doing its work in your blood stream, the arm being the focal point of the drug administered!.

Needle enters arm flesh - drug enters blood stream - end of!.

surely that alone explains why your arm hurts after an injection !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

well it can actually depend on what the injection is for cause different injections have different effects and some can hurt much more than others
