If someone has anemia what can they eat to get back to normal?!

Question: If someone has anemia what can they eat to get back to normal!?
Answers:
Often meat, and beef in particular, is recommended!. However, from general nutrition, it is recommened that dark greens (actual greensas opposed to iceburg lettuce, broccholi, green beans, and I think green pepper) be eaten at the same meal as meat, particularly beef, to enable the meat protien to fully metabolize and absorb into the system!. Often, one needs a :"light" vegetable (yellow waxed beans, carrots, orange and yellow peppers) to get the dark green vegetables to fully metabolize and absorb!. Back in the day, school kids were taught that at the most balanced meal of the day, dinner of course, you should have one serving of meat, two servings of green vegetables, and one serving of yellow vegetable!. I would imagine that sweet potatoes and/or yams would be considered a "light" vegetable!. Some of the fruits may also!. Spinach is a great leaf green as are collard greens!. Organ meat such as liver is often recommended for anemics too!.

The very minimim amount of protien you should be getting is 10% of your calories!. If you are vegetarian, there are some very specific combinations of meat alternative protiens and other vegetables you should be eating!. - What can I say, being a healthy vegetarian takes a lot more nutritional work than I was willing to do, particularly since I just don't do well on tofu!. I am a carnivore!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
