Question: Can i donate my liver ! a big one!?
i have a huge liver can i donate some of it to some one eals!? my doc said that is goes from my right side all the way to the left! i can fell it some times! that is why we found out it was so big! so can i give part of my liver to some one eals d me still live or do i have to wait to die to give!!

Yes, you can donate part of your liver!.
They usually take about 60% of your liver
to give to the patient!. The risks involved
are just as serious as those having the
transplant!.!.!.however, your recovery from
it all will be faster!.!.!.since you are healthy!.
You will be put through testing to be sure
you are healthy and able to withstand the operation!.
The liver does regenerate and will grow
back to about the size you have before!.!.!.
but it won't be exactly like the original!.

Yes, you can donate part of your liver!. But it's not like they can cut part of it off and freeze it!.
You'll have to find a match (which will involve tissue type testing) and the transplant will have to take place almost immediatly!. This will involve surgery and what not!.
