Piercings...does the tongue hurt?!
Question: Piercings!.!.!.does the tongue hurt!?
i have got my belly pierced and that didn't hurt but im thinking of getting my tongue of lip pierced or my belly again!.!.!.but i want to know if it hurts when you get any of those pierced!.!.!.!.please help me!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is a dull pressure, I guess it hurts somewhat!. It wasn't a sharp pain like the belly button or ears!. The thing about the tongue is that it swells up afterwards making it uncomfortable to eat or talk!. I remember it feeling tired!. I did it twice so it couldn't have hurt that bad!. The second time I knew what to expect!. I just did yoga breathing and it didn't hurt!. I think the first time is the anxiety more than anything!. I never did my lip!. I don't think the lip is that attractive but to each their own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Getting the initial piercing hurts but not OMG I'M DIEING! type pain!. Just a bit more that most others!.
Then the swelling afterwards is meant to be hell but I took ibuprofen and it stops it from even starting to swell up!. After that it didn't really hurt!. Ached a bit if you moved it around too much because it's extra weight your tongue has to move!.
It's a bit awkward for the first two weeks trying to talk without a lisp and learning to eat again!. I still haven't figured out how to kiss with tongues again yet!. Once the two weeks is up you can get the bar changed for a smaller one which helps ALOT!.

I had my tongue pierced 9 years ago and i still remember every bit of it!. the piercing itself didnt hurt as much as what i thought but your tongue will swell and i couldnt swallow anything for a couple of days!. he said that when u have it done if u can get through the first week then uve done it!. my only regret was going there on an empty stomach cos i couldnt eat anything after!Www@Answer-Health@Com
it depends on how well you handle pain!. The worst is the swelling and pain afterwards!. Whoever said eat ice chips lied!. I tried eating ice chips and it just hurt really bad!. Swallowing for the first couple of days is really hard!. Try sucking on popsicles and those cambells soup at hands work wonders!. The swelling is the worse!. The initial pain is more shock than anything!. Remember you are piercing a muscle, not just a flap of skin!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
