Bright flash and "gun shot" sound in my head?!
Question: Bright flash and "gun shot" sound in my head!?
I was sleeping when I woke up and had to go to the bathroom!. I went straight back to bed still a little out of it!. It didn't feel like I was back in bed for long when I saw a bright flash (I was also wearing a thick eye mask) and heard a loud "gun shot" type sound!. It scared me to death, I thought someone was trying to shoot me! I sat up and pulled off my eye mask and looked around!. My two cats and dog was sound to sleep!. They budge at any sound, so it had to be in my head! Was I sleeping and it some sort of "dream"!? Or is something wrong with me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well when standing up fast after sitting or lying for a while some people experience hazy vision and a white flash and some sort of short headache!. you may feel detached from your own body!. There is also a loud ringing or other noise in your ears for about a second!. This happens to me a lot when i stand up, and when combined with sleep, the symptoms might have changed and got worse!. I'm no doctor but that's my theory!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it happens again, or other "symptoms" begin to present you should see a physician!. If you find that you have to use an eye mask in order to sleep you may actually be having some sleep disorder issues!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like it had to be some sort of dream!. It's happened to me before!. This was maybe 10 or 12 years ago but I remember laying in bed and suddenly saw a pencil drop down on my bed and it made a loud banging sound!. I woke up and realized it was just a dream!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
