I have COPD which is Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease which was caused by years of smoking Cigarettes and now I have to have Oxygen 24-7 and a Nebulizer to take Breathing treatments,a C-Pap Machine to force air into my Lungs to help me Breath and I have to have it every night! Medicines include Advair,an inhaler,albuterol,Spiriva which is a a Hand inhaler with (tiotropium Bromide powder and a Power Wheel Chair as I can't walk to far because of difficulty in Breathing! I also have to look forward to a week or two in the Hospital every few months and be hooked up to IV's and Cat-Scans and X-Rays,so I felt the need to tell you how your future might look if you continue smoking! I loved a Marlboro as much as you do but my Dr!. said quit or die and so I quit and you can and should,but if you don't,I won't feel guilty because I have told you the honest truth! Honestly, they do filter some things out, but only about 30% of the bad stuff is ACTUALLY filtered out!. What you're hearing is when they test their cigarette filters and get 90% of the bad stuff to stay in the filter, the machine they're using is hardly creating any suction at all and is pulling air through the filter slow enough for the filter to absorb everything!. An average smoker cannot keep more than 30-35% from being trapped in the filter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
okay!.!.!.without a lecture, here goes!. the filter does filter out a small portion of the chemicals that are in cigarettes!.!.!.but i don't think it's 90% of the tar!. besides, there are hundreds of chemicals in cigarettes to worry about making their way through the filter!.!.!.not just the tar!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
