One leg is longer than the other?!

Question: One leg is longer than the other!?
First, I should mention that I was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 13, and they said it wasn't bad and it wouldn't get any worse!. It hasn't really hurt since recently ( 15yrs old!. ) my side and right leg hurts sometimes!.!.but I just noticed my leg was longer than the other, and supposedly my family have always known that but though nothing of it!? I was just wondering how this can be corrected, ( surgery's, back braces, etc!. ) and what can happend if it's ignored!? ( the consequence!. ) Also, I already have a doctors apt!. So don't tell me I should get it checked out!. Thanks!! :DWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
typically if you have scoliosis you have one leg longer than the other!. You need to talk to your doc!. They may do an xray called a scan a gram to see exactly what the difference is or they may measure with a tape measure!. One thing to do is put a lift in your shoe!. If it is considerably longer they put more on the bottom of your shoe!.

Treatment for the scoliosis is generally bracing and surgery is considered for curves over 35 or 40 degrees!. To determine the degree!. They take an xray and measure a cobb angle!.

If you have been diagnosed hopefully you are seeing a pediatric orthopedic at least every 6 months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can go to your chyropractor or doctor and get "lifts" for your shoe of the leg that is shorter
they are foam pads that slip in the back of your shoe , the heel part, inside, to even out the bone structure as you stand and walk!.
Not corrected, this can cause stress on your hip and spine
and pain!.
No one will even know you have these in your shoes!.
Your doctor will tell you more when you have your appt!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just tell the dr all the symptoms and ask for xrays or bone scan to find the extent of the damage then the dr will decide on the best treatmentWww@Answer-Health@Com
