Question: How come when you get in a hot shower with really cold/numb feet, they will start to itch like heck!?
whenever i am outside on a cold day for a while and my feet get numb, i come in and take a hot shower!. however, after a couple of minutes, they start to REALLY itch, almost to a point where it is unbearable!. why does this happen!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The itching sensation is likely the nerve endings in your feet reaching to the heat!. It may feel as if they are burning as well (more severe reaction) as the nerves begin to fire more rapidly!.
The blood will still be in your feet and moving (unless you have frostbite) but the blood vessels at the skin will begin to expand as they heat up (standard heat response) which will begin a heap of other things going on in the cells!. So the itching may be related to this as the nerves will react to the change in pressure etc created by this reaction!.

This is a guess!. When your feet become cold, blood is restricted to your cells!. When you warm them up quickly, blood rush into these blood deprived cells!. This causes an itching sensation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
