How do I know if my body is hydrated like it's supposed to be..?!


Question: How do I know if my body is hydrated like it's supposed to be!.!.!?
im 18 and i rarely ever drink water!. my main choice of drink is mountain dew, and for the past few months ive began to notice when i drink nothing but caffeine for a while it messes up my bladder!. which is no surprise because my mom has bladder problems, and i used to really bad when i was younger, but every one seems to think i may have problems with my bladder like she does!. my mom drinks water 24/7 because even the slightest bit of anything that's not water will mess her bladder up!. anyone know why this is!? and how much water should i have a day!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Caffeine does mess with the bladder, especially if you have problems that run in your family!. Caffeine is actually a diuretic (meaning it causes your body to excrete more water as urine, whether there is enough water in your body or not) and so if that's all you have to drink it will actually DEhydrate you!.!.!. plus once the caffeine reaches the bladder it irritates the bladder and makes you need to go pretty much constantly (at least it does for some people) until you get it all out of your system!.

If your urine is clear AND you're not drinking caffeine, it means you're getting enough water!. Very light yellow is fine too!. Caffeine will make your urine clearer than it otherwise would be, because it's forcing you to pee out extra water that's not really "excessive" for your body, so you're not really as well hydrated as your urine color would make you seem to be!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your pee will be almost clear, and you will go regularly!. If you don't drink enough water, your skin may dry out and your pee will look the color of beer!.
