Question: Is it okay for me to take 1 vicodin after already taking 6 ib profin pills with in 24 hours!?
the other pills have not worked for me all day for my tooth ach!.!.!.but vicodin does!.!.!. do u think its okay to take vicodin after taking 6 ib pills!? all with ini 24 hours!? please let me know cause i wont be able to sleep with this pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

EDIT: APAP is tylenol, so there is no problem whatsoever!. Take it!.
Side note: Prescription strength ibuprofen is 800mg (4 tablets) and is typically prescribed to be taken 3 times per day (12 tablets daily)!. It will be fine!. Trust me!.
And to Jacob F - I am beyond confident!. Myself and the other RN may not prescribe medication, but when you are in the hospital, it is the nursing staff that actually gives you your meds!. We know a lot about proper administration of meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Vicodin contains tylenol as opposed to the ibuprofen!. You've taken a moderate amount of ibuprofen, and there won't be a problem if you take even two vicodin tonight!. The trick with ibuprofen and tylenol is to take them in a staggered fashion; you can take ibuprofen at 2 pm, then take tylenol at 5 pm, more ibuprofen 8 pm, more tylenol at 10 pm!.!.!.
Just for your information, you can increase your ibuprofen to 4 200 mg pills every 8 hours, to help with the toothache pain!. The normal dose for vicodin is 1-2 tablets every 4-6 hours, usually!.

I think you have probably received a reasonably good answer!. I just can't understand why you are asking here instead of contacting the doctor/dentist/surgeon's office!. Well your Ibuprofen if it is normal generic dose found otc you can take 4 to compare to the 800 mg the prescribe which is every 4-6 hours so depending on the dosage and since you prolly will take the pills before this is over do what you want, your in painWww@Answer-Health@Com
Drink a glass of milk then take it, the milk will absorb the ib!. You should be fine i have done it many of times!.
