Question: Autism and inheritance!?
hi i have a question about autism, my son is 5 yrs old, he is well and healthy and i now am expecting my second child, my husbands brother and his wife had a child who was unfortunately diagnosed with autism!. my husband and i are not blood related!. what i wanna know is that can my child also have this!? pls helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

No one knows for sure what is the cause, try to do for your second what you did for your first, I think things will be fine!. I often wonder about epidurals and the duration of them during labor as a factor, Hold off as long as you can!. I only think this becuase they use them so routinely now, where 23yrs ago they did not , they were starting to use if wanted, and now its so common! This is only my opinion, I m not a doctor, but it is the same advice I gave to my daughter!. Also my husbands nephew is severely autistic and his father is bi-polar!. I know that they used drugs when they were teens but are college grads with high paying jobs, so the drug stuff was not heavy duty or often, I also wonder how that impacts offspring !. I have a couple people I went to school with that had kids with downs syndrome, take folic acid! It helps baby have a good brain and not downs! just a reminder, or eat lots of spinachWww@Answer-Health@Com
I don't know if there is enough research on this but I would do a search for autism research!. I would then stop worrying about it!. I am the only on in my family who wore glasses!. My sons didn't wear glasses!. People have this theories about baldness yet you can see this if these were true all the men who are brothers would have the same baldness which doesn't happen!. I would suggest if you like to read or listen to books on tape you get the book written by Jenny McCarthy!. She is the partner of Jim Carey & her book is about her son who she claims recovered from autism!. He is not Carey's son but he has been with her for years through the healing of her son!. I would see if they have a website because if they share how they healed him than that is what is important!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not inherited!. My little sister has autism and no one else in my family does!. No one from my Mom has autism and I am not sure about her father because I don't know him too well!. But I know he does not have autism!. My mom has many other diseases!. We don't know why my sister has many health issues but she does!. My mom had 3 kids before my little sister!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
