Answers:
If a person has a DPT, they can be called a doctor just as a person who is a chiropractor, podiatrist, Pharm, D, or PhD!. Not all PTs are DPT however!.

I introduce my self as Dr!. Mary______, physical therapist so there is no confusion!. Then I say please call me Mary

Some people are very insistent of being called Dr!.___!. I work with kids!. My kids call Ms!. Mary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Referring to your update, I assume they are considered "doctors of physical therapy" but people still do not typically consider them as "Dr!. so-and-so"!. I'm not completely positive!.

**after consulting with my grandmother who is a physical therapist, they are indeed NOT considered doctors!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do not consider a PT a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
