If you donate blood, can your body get used to it?!

Question: If you donate blood, can your body get used to it!?
I heard that if you donate blood, for example, every 6 months, your body gets used to losing blood and every 6 months it produces more blood that needs to be lost!. Is that true!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Good God, no!

Your body NEVER produces too much blood, you may produce too many of a certain type of cell, but not of blood itself!. There is an internal checks and balance system!. You can give blood because your brain recognises that you need a top up!. But let's put it this way, you will not create more blood if the body has enough!. You may retain water!.!.!.regardless of your blood status!.!.!.but that is a different question!.

If what you think is true, what stops the body creating blood!? Wouldn't we all just fill up and explode if we didn't give blood!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do not know where you heard this, but it is not correct!. Your body replaces all the lost blood over time, but it does not produce more blood and more blood in anticipation of another donation coming up!. Some people have better ability to recover quickly, some do not and it is not something you body 'gets used to'!. However, mentally you can find it easier if it is repetitive processWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!.

The fluid component of the blood (plasma) is replaced in approximately 24 hours provided you remember to drink enough water!.

The red blood cells are replaced in a few weeks - one study performed recorded an average of 36 days, with a range from 20 to 56 days in the volunteers!. Obviously a diet containing iron will help improve recovery time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Nurse and research to confirm the info!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you do it every 6 months for the rest of your life, maybe in the later stages, yeah!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I guess!. I know it's nice that you donate blood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
