Answers:
Donating plasma is not difficult at all!. First, you will have to go in and do a short physical!. It's nothing compared to your yearly exams, so don't worry about that!. Basically, they will have you o a urine test to check for things like proteins and sugars in your urine that would signify something like diabetes!. They'll ask what meds, if any, that you are on and what you are on them for!. Some meds can cause you to not be able to donate!. They'll ask for a list of all tattoos/piercings, when you had them done, any surgeries, when, etc!. If everything goes okay from there, then you should be good!.

Next, they'll prick your finger to get a sample of blood, take your blood pressure, and temperature!. The blood they use to test your iron levels, etc!. If everything is fine from there, you'll move back to the donation stations!. There, they'll stick the needle (after a iodine swab of the insertion site)!. They'll probably take a few vials of blood for some other testing and then you will go through "cycles" when you are all hooked up and running!. Your blood is separated once it gets into the machine!. Plasma is collected into a bag, and the rest (red blood cells, etc) is mixed with an anti-clotting agent in a holding chamber!. Once the chamber is full, the machine will return the non-plasma portion of your blood back to you!. You'll go through several cycles of this until the collection bag is full!. After that, the bag is removed from the machine and a bag of saline solution is given to you through the tube!. It will help to replace the liquids that were taken!. Once this is done, you are done with the procedure!.

You can donate 2 times within a 7 day period!. I donate at Biolife and they give you $20 the first donation, and $35 the second time!. They also give you a $20 bonus on the 5th and 7th times that you donate if you donate the 5-7 times within a month's time!. They also have other incentives that they do there, and establish a debit account for you, where money is tranferred to your account when you donate, so all you have to wory about is the debit card, rather than keeping the cash around!.

Be sure that before you go, you have eaten something and that you have been drinking plenty of water!. Water will help to dilute your blood and make the process go more smoothly and more quickly!. Not eating can cause you to become nauseous after donating!. It's quite an easy process really and the extra money is nice!. It takes me about an hour and a half start to finish!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
