They use a needle about the thickness of a piece of spaghetti!. It hurts when they put the needle in for a bit, and then it feels more like finger pushing hard where it goes in!. I've donated over 20 times and it is suppose to be very good for your health!. It can take anywhere from 10-20 minutes for the donation time and then you have to sit and eat cookies and juice afterwards!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
My 16 year old son donated blood for the first time at his school blood drive two weeks ago!. I also donated!. You will feel a needle prick, but it's not bad at all!. Just be relaxed, and well hydrated!. Drink lots of water, not pop, or juice, but water for two days before you donate so your veins will be easier to stick!.
