DNR --- Could you do it?!

Question: DNR --- Could you do it!?
I was wondering if anyone could actually follow a loved one's DNR request!? I don't think I could do that!. Do you want a DNR or do you want to continue to live in machines!? What is your opinion on DNR orders!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Not only could I, I have!. I agreed to my mother's DNR, and enforced it with the doctors, I would not let her linger in agony!. When nothing is going to make someone better, why prolong the end!? That is less than we do for our pets, at least for them euthanasia is considered a kindness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on the situation!. If they're were in a vegetative state with no chance of recovery, I could definitely do it!. Don't get me wrong, it would be extremely painful, but I feel the person I knew and loved was no longer present!.

Perhaps it's because I come from a scientific background, have physicians in my close family and I know what brain dead actually means!. EEG tests can determine whether or not there is actually any brain function left, and if not, they're just a body, being breathed for by machines!. It's no way to "live" and I don't consider it actually "living!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

Of course I would follow it to the letter!. It is their life not yours!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
