well here goes I have a hole in my shoulder and it has been there for about 2 years now!. i went to docs last week coz its started to hurt really bad, they sent me for an x ray and i had to go home and make an appoinment this week to see the results but instead they phoned me and told me its urgent!. and when i went to see what was wrong they said i deffo need an op because the shoulder bone isnt in the joint right its hanging out!. do they put you to sleep while fixing this!? and do they cut the shoulder open!? thank you so much xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, they will put you out for that and cut you open!. It is a very rough recovery, but you would be wise to get the surgery done if your shoulder causes you a lot of problems!. It will probably be months before you can use that arm and at least two months until you will be allowed to drive!. Also, the surgery isn't always a success!. The recovery time and restrictions, as well as the expected outcome of the surgery and benefits of having the operation v!.s!. not having it, are all things you should speak about with your surgeon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think they *might* make a slight "insition"
and I'm pretty sure they would!. or else they'd numb it!. depends on the doctor!. but they'd do *something* I'm sure!. so if you don't want to watch, tell your doctor you want to be asleep and not awake during it!. I'm sure he'll give you some "laughing gas" for you :) just talk to the doctor and ask him/her any questions you have!. and I'm sure you'll be fine
