I've often wondered this too, and it does seem validated!. This is a very logical question!.!.!.!.The best I can figure is that Physicians pay VERY HIGH CYA Insurance!.!.!.!.

This is one way they are not charged with manslaughter!. If a Case does go to Court, it takes years for this to settle!. Many families give up, as the high cost of Lawyer Fees, etc!. begin to become a hardship!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My Aunt and Uncle are both a doctor/surgeon, and to me this question hits me hard!. You have to put yourself in that position, imagine if your father was a doctor for instance!.!. and he's working on a patient with!.!. let's say!.!. a tumour!. The odds of removing a lot of them are very very low!. A doctor does how many procedures in a day!? Probably anywhere in the range of 2-5 depending on the length of time the procedure is going to take!.
If a doctor is in the operating room for around ten hours which is a long time, imagine all of the things they are doing!. Do you really think out of alllll of the things he IS doing in that room, he won't make even ONE mistake!?
I know, doctors are the smartest, right!? But even the smartest of people make mistakes!. Everyone makes them!.!.!.all the time, big whoop!.
So to sum things up!.!. A comparison!.
If a doctor makes just one mistake, they should be put in jail, then if Bills Gates makes a mistake in a new computer program, should he too be thrown in the slammer!?
They both have jobs!. With every job comes different tasks!. Being a doctor is a rewarding job, and at the same it's incredibly difficult!.
Now, if alcohol was the cause of the problem, id kill them myself, or drugs, maybe they are depressed, etc!. But if they are completely fine and maybe they drop a surgical knife ending someones life!. It sounds terrible, but should his/her life be over just because of that!? If they kill one person, why would it make things better to charge him with manslaughter!. That wouldn't only hurt him/her, but their sons, daughters, parents, wives, husbands, etc!.!. and I just went waaaay too far on this subject!. end!. by the way, i think NO they shouldnt!.!. unless substance abuse comes in the picture!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Good question!!! A lot of Doctor have make big mistakes and has killed people!.!.They settle out of court and they have to promise not to tell a soul about what took place(not the doctors but the family)!.!.Pretty Crappy they get away with Murder!!!

Sometimes They are Charged and Prosecuted!. They are Sued Quite Frequently by Family Members of the Deceased!. There is an Investigation done and if there is any reason to Suspect " Foul Play", the District Attorney is the one that will File the Criminal Charges!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They do go to jail!. On duty and on drugs, alcohol!. They still get away
