Any suggestions for a night-hawk on getting into a good morning routine?!

Question: Any suggestions for a night-hawk on getting into a good morning routine?
Being a full-time university student, i've gotten into the bad habit of staying up until between 3:00 and 4:30 am and waking up around 1 or 2 in the afternoon. I know that i feel more accomplished and better about my health when i'm going to bed earlier and waking up earlier, but it's so hard to do for me! I also tend to need an abnormal amount of sleep.. It's hard for me to imagine functioning on 7 hours, which is normal to most people.. I usually like around 10 or so (which i know probably isn't good for me). I have no classes before 3:00 pm and they usually either go until 8 or 9 pm, or i'm done by 6, so it's not like i have too much time in the evenings if i'm going to be getting to bed at a decent hour, and usually i get most of my readings done in the wee hours of the morning before i finally make it to bed..
My boyfriend is up every day at 8:00 and i just sleep right through his alarm, because most times, i've only had 3 1/2 or 4 hours of sleep at that point. I wish i could get into the habit of waking up and going to bed at the same times as him, but my body just won't allow it!

Are there any morning people out there that can share some suggestions for me to get into a more regular morning routine??

Answers:

Its a simple as going to bed earlier. I was in the near exact situation you're in and all I did was go bed earlier. Of course it didn't really work out right away because the night distractions were still there, but I was able to pull it off by progressively going to bed earlier than the night before until I foung a comfortable bed time. It just takes some commitment and adjustment, thats all.

...also going to gym in the late afternoon helped a lot. It tired me out to the point where I would just pass out of exhuastion.

hope this helps
