Help, Am I going deaf?!
Question: Help, Am I going deaf?
I got an ear infection out of nowhere yesterday. I am a swimmer so I was not sure if my ears were just waterlogged or not but I got some swimmers ear from the store and it's not helping at all. Now when I am listening to things, and when I speak, it sounds robotic and echo-y in that ear. It's really weird. But I plugged my other ear and tested out listening to my voicemail and i could hear on that ear just fine, but I am now watching tv and it sounds so weird to me in the same ear. I know it's complicated and I'm doing a poor job explaining.
Left ear-fine
Right ear-sounds normal on the phone, yet the tv and hearing somerone speak or myself speak in person sounds echoed and robotic, that is the one that hurts, that I put drops in.

It's probably an infection. If you don't get it treated you might go deaf, but you aren't right now. check the webmd.com symptom checker to get a general idea of what it might be.
Your throat and ears have connected nerves so your throat infection is playing a part in this and the ear infection would cause this to happen but when you go to the doctor bring it up that your ear is acting up.
