Help re insurance coverage. Please.?!

Question: Help re insurance coverage. Please.?
I was laid off last year after 15+ years and unfortunately I have diabetes & epilepsy. Each month I pay $850 for Cobra. My money is draining so fast, I mean so so fast.

I have a question and I've tried to get a legit answer but honestly haven't yet come across one.

If I were to get married NOW instead of waiting until next year - would I be accepted on my "husband's" insurance; and more so regardless of pre-existing conditions. It is so confusing trying to figure this out. I know I can't get any insurance company to take me on my own (I have tried and I am not up for Medical since I will lose all my doctors), so he & I have discussed getting married now.

BUT I am not sure if that will make a difference on me since I do have things wrong. Now I believe under "group" policy your spouse is accepted regardless. Am I right?

Does anyone have any idea?? I greatly appreciate it.

Medical Discount Plan
ideal for those who cannot afford or qualify for traditional health insurance. The companies offer discounted health services for a quite low monthly fee. Benefits include a range of discounts for doctors, hospitals, dental, vision, prescriptions, vitamins, as well as other health services.

Individual & Family Health Plans
This is a major health insurance plan for individuals and families. If you are looking for comprehensive long term health insurance coverage for yourself and/or your family members who are 62 years old or younger - this is the plan to choose.

Short Term Medical Plans
This plan is ideal for individuals in transition. Maybe you have just graduated from college and are no longer covered under your student health insurance or you moved out on your own, and you're no longer covered under your parents' medical insurance plan. Or perhaps you're employed part-time, going to school, leaving home for the first time, or even retiring early. Maybe you've found a new job, but your new employer's group health insurance plan won't kick in until you've been with months.

This is all legal niggling and depends on what your husband's policy conditions are. Sometimes there is a waiting period for treatment of pre-existing conditions. So have him look into it. His HR department may be helpful.

Meanwhile, start writing to Republicans. I am so sick of hearing all these problems on this site. It belongs in public policy. We need Universal Health Care. Republicans keep saying "the people" don't want "Obamacare". Well, we do, and we need more of it, sooner. Forgive my anger!
